Every child with SCD in Uganda has access to timely diagnosis and treatment.

Our commitment is to provide the best medical care & treatment to every child battling this disease.

Who We Are

The Esley Mulungi Foundation is a non government organisation founded by parents who have personally experienced the challenges of sickle Cell Disease with their son, who has battled the condition for 7 years . We provide vital support for children and families affected by sickle cell disease, striving to raise awareness, prevention, provide specialized care , treatment and advocacy

Our goal is to foster an environment of hope and healing for all children battling Sickle Cell Disease through our various programs and initiatives ensuring that every affected child gets timely access to the best care & treatment .

We aim to better the quality of life and preventing new cases

Our Objectives

Promote Awareness and Education

Promote awareness and education about Sickle Cell Disease, its prevention and management among children, families, and healthcare professionals.

Build a Specialized Children's Hospital with a Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit
Setup and operate a specialized children's hospital for the diagnosis, treatment and cure of the Sickle Cell Disease

Mental Health Awareness & Counselling
Promote mental health awareness & counselling services to support the emotional well being of the families and children with SCD

Establish Community Support Structure and Care

Connect care givers, families, health care professionals with a focus on providing a network of care and holistic support to children and families affected by the Sickle Cell Disease

Advocacy & Policy
Advocate and lobby for the interests of children and families battling with SCD.

Prevention, early detection, access to medication & treatment.
